Covid-19 and business energy
It’s easy to assume that the data isn’t available to show us the impact that Covid-19 has had, and continues to have, on energy consumption. Yet we are able to provide customers - direct or via their brokers or energy advisors - this data.
It is not only fascinating, but can save significant money via the insights it can bring.
We have seen energy usage INCREASE during and after lockdown in some sectors, by as much as 4300%. We can see the impact that remote working continues to have for some businesses, as a longtail effect for the forseeable future. We can see which businesses are easily recovering, in terms of strengthening their credit position at quote. And we can see which sectors are yet to recover and still have considerably lower supply requirements.
